20 years of laughs, Elf celebrates anniversary

This holiday movie appeals to all maybe even cotton-headed ninny muggins too.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear, but also maybe curling up to watch a good Christmas movie too. 

On November 7, 2003 one of Christmas's funniest heart-warming movies took to the screen, and we cannot imagine the holiday season without it. 

The movie was director by filmmaker Jon Favreau, and stars popular comedian Will Ferrell.  Many people across the country can agree that 'Elf' is fan favorite movie. 

Today, the funny holiday film featuring the oversized elf named Buddy turns 20-years-old.  Ferrell isn't the only famous face in the movie. The features popular includes movie star names such as James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Bob Newhart, Mary Steenburgen, Peter Dinklage, Amy Sedaris and more.
