Celebrating Buffalo's best in the industry, Broadcasters 2024 Hall of Fame class

This year's class includes award-winning WGRZ photojournalist Dooley O'Rourke and former WGRZ anchor Sheila Murphey.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — On Thursday night many who are in the Buffalo media industry gathered to celebrate the newest Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductees. 

The inductee class of 2024 included 

  • WGRZ-TV videographer J. Dooley O’Rourke
  • Network Television Producer/Writer/Actor Nick Bakay
  • Nationally syndicated talk show host Stephanie Miller
  • Former WGR-TV news anchor/reporter Sheila Murphy
  • Former WKBW-TV reporter Mary Travers Murphy 
  • Former WGR-AM Morning host Howard Simon
  • 97 Rock morning radio team Shredd & Ragan 
  • Former Director of National Sales for Buffalo/Toronto Public Media Jim DiMino

This year's President’s Award was presented to former Buffalo broadcaster Ruth Ann Harnisch of the Harnisch Foundation.

The 2 On Your Side Team was happy to celebrate photo journalist Dooley O'Rourke, who recently retired after nearly 40-years in the industry this past in January. See the photo of Dooley joined by the 2 On Your Side Team attached below.
