The Wing King, Drew Cerza said that he is excited for all the new events this year including armed forces night. Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., all veterans and active duty military get in free. There will be a chicken wing eating contest between members of the different branches to see who can eat the most wings.

There are 25 different vendors this year from around the world, cooking up over 120 different styles of wings. Some new styles as well as the classics that everyone enjoys.

Trent Weitzel is the owner of Double Dubs, a chicken wing food truck from Wyoming. They are back for their fifth year and are the reining fan-favorite champions.

"This is like the Super Bowl of chicken wing world," Weitzel told 2 On Your Side. "We really try not to dabble in anything else because this is it. This is what we put our heart and soul into when preparing for the year. We have a whole bunch of new sauces that we are entering."

The National Chicken Wing festival runs Saturday and Sunday, with gates opening at noon on both days. Click here for more information and a link to buy tickets in advance.
