BUFFALO, NY — Buffalo Police are looking into the circumstances that led up to the shooting of a 12-year-old boy Friday morning on the city's East Side.
The incident happened in the first block of Quincy St. in the city's Broadway/Bailey neighborhood shortly before Noon.
All police would say at the time is that the victim was struck by birdshot. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say the incident was not a random act.
Buffalo Police and the Erie County District Attorney's Office are investigating the incident.
