12 people displaced after fire in Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls Fire Department said five adults and seven children were displaced and were being assisted by the Red Cross. Some pets died.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Twelve people were displaced following a Sunday afternoon fire on 15th Street in Niagara Falls, though no injuries were reported.

The Niagara Falls Fire Department said five adults and seven children were displaced and were being assisted by the Red Cross.

Fire officials said some pets died in the fire on the 700 block of 15th, near the Oakwood Cemetery, but they did not have an exact count.

Niagara Falls Fire said the call went out at 12:32 p.m. and that crews left the scene at 3:59 p.m.

Crews are still investigating the cause.
