BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hundreds of students took part in a triathlon in Lancaster at William Street School on Wednesday.
Students in grades 3 through 6 ran half a mile, peddled a full mile, and swam 30 to 60 yards depending on their age.
This is the largest timed elementary school triathlon in all of New York State.
When it started 9 years ago, about 60 kids took part. This year that number was 450.
