Kevin O'Neill goes antiquing

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. — Deb and Madge have been in the antique business for 43 years in Canada and decided to show their treasures from their vintage barn on their "getaway" property.

They specialize in primitive rustic antiques, but have a little bit of everything and some just plain different stuff.

As for their Folk Art, with 2 resident artists creating contemporary folk and outsider art, they have over 300 pieces to choose from including paintings, carvings and dimensional artwork.

Their hours are: Saturday and Sunday 10am - 3pm. Other times by appointment only.

Right on the corner of the 219, going the opposite way of Ellicottville check out Granny’s Boot Antiques home of Grevpode Gallery located at 10761 Miller Road, Springville where a unique treasure is just waiting for you. Granny’s specializes in primitive rustic antiques and art but has a little bit of everything you can ever imagine. Baskets, sewing stands, masks, a seat made from a canoe. How about a Didgeridoo, an Australian wind instrument, for that hard to buy for someone?

Original art from local artists include wooden sculptures of animals and flowers, there’s also more traditional artwork on canvas and other folk art and paper art. And if the selection is just too delicious and eclectic to choose from there’s always a gift certificate option.
