Nearly five years after it was announced with much fanfare, the Aqua Falls project was still no more than a large hole in the ground in front of the former Occidental Chemical building in Niagara Falls. Mesi would spend two years fighting to get his license back and would eventually return to the ring before retiring undefeated.
