BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new study finds that the flavored liquids used in electronic cigarettes may be bad for your heart.
Researchers at Stanford took a look at cells that line the interior of blood vessels when exposed to e-cigarettes.
They found that those cells became less viable, and there was an increase in molecules associated with DNA damage and cell death.
Those effects were even present when there was no nicotine.
