BUFFALO, N.Y. — There's a local push to end the sale of menthol tobacco.

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids will award ten $1,500 grants to local youth groups to discourage smoking.

The No Menthol Buffalo Coalition cites research from Georgetown University that many teens start smoking with menthol flavored tobacco.

The group wants Buffalo Common Council to issue a ban on menthol cigarettes.
