Empire State Ride from New York City to Niagara Falls canceled

BUFFALO, N.Y. — This summer's Empire State Ride from New York City to Niagara Falls has been canceled because of safety concerns.

Instead, the fundraiser for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is encouraging riders to cycle 500 miles on their own in July and to join in for some online activities the last week of July, when the ride would have been held.

Registration fees from this year will automatically go toward the 2021 ride.
