Clean Sweep to feature a power pop-up series

The City of Buffalo will be offering free health services and more to those participating in the Clean Sweep on Wednesday, September 25.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo has announced that along with the City's Clean Sweep , they will also now be offering residents direct medical interventions. 

At the Clean Sweep on Wednesday, September 25 residents are encouraged to checkout out the expanded offerings at 1400 Broadway from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. where there will be free health screenings, and services. 

“Supporting Buffalo residents who face barriers to accessing needed health services starts with meeting them where they are,” said Mayor Brown. “This expanded Clean Sweep will help ensure easy access to meaningful health support, while bringing our community together, providing essential services, and ensuring that all of our residents have the resources they need to live healthy and active lives.”

The event will feature a range of free health screenings, including:

  • Lung and Oral Cancer Screenings 
  • Cardiovascular Health Checks
  • Diabetes Screenings
  • ECMC Specialty Pharmacy 

There will also be numerous other organizations offering information on a variety of topics such as:

  • Housing Assistance
  • Medlaw
  • Job Placement Services
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Block Club Formation Guidance
