SALAMANCA, N.Y. — The Seneca Nation of Indians celebrated the grand opening of its new museum and cultural center Saturday.
The $18 million Onohsagwe:de' Cultural Center and Seneca-Iroquois National Museum complex is 33,000 square feet and features hundreds of items and displays, including rare artifacts.
It's located at 82 West Hetzel Street.
There's also a 3D printing lab, and the complex features the first traditional Longhouse raised on the Allegany Territory since 1820.
The new center replaces the old museum, which was opened in 1977.
