BUFFALO, N.Y. — Netflix recently dropped their series "Griselda" starring Sofia Vergara.
Vergara plays drug lord Griselda Blanco, who was a major player in the 1970s and 1980s cocaine trade. She was known by several names, “La Madrina,” the “Black Widow” “Cocaine Godmother” and the “Queen of Narco-Trafficking.”
Music lovers may have heard the name Griselda more recently, but not for drug trade. Griselda Records is a Buffalo-based record label. It was founded in 2012 by brothers West Side Gunn and Conway the Machine, as well as other members Benny the Butcher and producer Daringer.
The group named their record label Griselda after Blanco, according to several reports.
