DARIEN CENTER, NY — Darien Lake unveiled it's latest thrill ride, a roller coaster called Tantrum.
The Tantrum, one of seven roller coasters at the amusement park, has a "signature beyond-vertical drop." The coaster features a 98-foot vertical lift at a 90-degree angle and at the highest part, the coaster will fall into a 97-degree drop and pretzel inversion.
While the park opens for the season on Saturday, May 5, the Tantrum won't be ready until Memorial Day Weekend.
