BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Common Council Committee on Education held an open meeting about a Buffalo mother's situation that's gotten international attention.
Kiarre Harris was arrested and had her kids placed in foster care all because she says she was home-schooling them. The school district has said Harris had problems with CPS before she started to homeschool the children.
Harris said she has documents that prove she was home schooling them and she just wants her kids back.
"But in the meantime it seems like everything is in slow motion or practically standing still because there's still no answers, there's still no accountability, and I still have not seen my children in over a month," said Harris.
The committee on education ended up tabling the discussion until they learn more.
