Creative learning comes to Lockport via TechMobile

The Lockport City School District is taking summer learning on the road.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — The Lockport City School District is taking creative learning on the road this summer with TechMobile.

TechMobile will make stops throughout neighborhoods offering residents access to technology, books, crafts, games, healthy snacks and more. This opportunity is a partnership between the City's school district and the Lockport Public Library.

Charles Upson Elementary School Teacher Jill Nemi-Enderton is in her fifth year as TechMobile coordinator. She reports, “We have iPads and Wi-Fi with us. We also have the apps that students use on their school iPads, so they can come out and use those. We can also provide support with signing parents up for Parent Portal and as well as the two-way, parent-teacher communication app, “Rooms.”

The mobile van will be hitting the roads from now until August 8. People are encouraged to visit www.lockportschools.org for daily updates depending on if there are TechMobile cancellations due to weather and more.
