NEWFANE, N.Y. — The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is looking into an early-morning apartment fire in the Town of Newfane.
Four volunteer firefighters responded to a two-apartment building on Ridge Road just before 4:30 Sunday morning and discovered heavy smoke coming from the back of the rear apartment.
Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading and contained any damage to the rear apartment.
Both residents got out safely before firefighters arrived on scene.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is still under investigation.
