WARSAW, N.Y. — A Wyoming County woman involved in a hit and run accident that injured two girls and killed their dog has pleaded guilty.
Lauren Hall, 28, of Strykersville, pleaded guilty to Leaving the Scene of a Serious Physical Injury Accident.
The accident happened in August on Dutch Hollow Road near Route 78 in the Town of Sheldon.
A 15-year-old girls and a 12-year-old girl were out walking their dog when they were struck by a car. Both girls suffered serious injuries. The dog died in the accident.
Hall told the court she drove off the road when she became distracted and failed to keep her eyes on the road.
New York State Police say tips led them to locate the 2017 Chevrolet Trax they believe was involved. The vehicle had damage to its passenger side mirror and head light.
Hall is scheduled to be sentenced April 30. She could face up to four years in prison, as well a fine.
