BUFFALO, N.Y. — A woman was stabbed in a school lobby Thursday evening.
The incident happened around 5:40 p.m. at the Dr. Lydia T. Wright School (Public School 89) on Appenheimer Avenue. It stemmed from a dispute between two women who were non-staff members.
Police said on Monday that the two women involved have now been arrested.
The victim, a 31-year-old woman was at the school picking up her child enrolled at the school when the stabbing happened. Following a fight, the victim was stabbed in the back, police said. She was treated at ECMC and released.
The alleged suspects, 34-year-old Diamond Gray and 35-year-old Dominique Gray, both of Buffalo, are both facing charges for one count NYS PL 120.05-2, Assault in the Second Degree, a class D felony, and one count NYS PL 260.10-1, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.
