NIAGARA FALLS, NY-- There's new information about a woman who's been charged in connection with a shooting in Niagara Falls Tuesday night, after police say she grabbed an officer's gun, and grazed another woman.

The Niagara Falls police chief and the Niagara County sheriff said this investigation in a word, is complicated.

It started with a drug investigation. That led police to a suspect, who is actually wanted in connection to a stabbing at a Lockport Big Lots that happened last weekend.

When officers went to arrest Jason T. Clark, they say Brittany Blenker, 23, charged the officers and tried to grab a detective's gun.

The gun went off and the bullet grazed a second woman.

Blenker faces a number of charges; including assault and reckless endangerment. She was also wanted on outstanding warrants.

Clark, the man police were looking for initially, was arrested and charged for a previous assault charge. He is expected to arraigned on the stabbing charge later this afternoon.

The woman who was injured was taken to the hospital, but refused treatment.

Jason T. Clark is being held in the city of Lockport.
