WNY man arrested after he was caught cheating at Pa. craps table

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — A Cheektowaga man was arrested after allegedly placing illegitimate bets over the span of seven days at Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie, Pa.

The 44-year-old man was caught cheating at a craps table on Jan. 22, leading to an audit, which found that the man placed illegal wagers for a week. Those bets cost the casino $7,860, according to Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Gaming in Presque Isle.

State police did not immediately provide details as to how the man was allegedly placing the illegal bets.

The man was arrested, taken to Erie County Jail, and charged with theft/crime by deception.
