West Seneca Police share details of a crash on Saturday

The West Seneca Police Department wrote in a social media post, that a driver's iPhone recently utilized Apple's crash detection feature on Saturday to alert police.

WEST SENECA, N.Y. — On Saturday, October 19 the West Seneca Police Department shared to their social media pages, pictures of a crash that closed Lind Avenue and Main Street overnight so NYSEG could do repairs on a utility pole that was hit in the crash. 

They also shared that an iPhone in the crash utilized Apple's crash detection feature, which worked, and wrote in their caption "On the  plus side we can confirm Apple's crash detection does in fact work. On the downside the phone's owner is in custody for DWI. Thankfully no one was injured tonight. Please drive sober!"
