WEST SENECA, N.Y. — West Seneca Police recently responded to reports of a male and female arguing for an extended period of time around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment building on Forrestal Lane.
When officers arrived at the scene, the male involved was blocking the exit door of the apartment building, while wielding a large samurai sword towards the female.
The male suspect was directed by officers at gunpoint to drop the sword. Officers then took him into custody without further incident.
The male suspect who has been identified as Patrick Sink, 33, of West Seneca was taken by police to the station and charged with menacing in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
Sink was arraigned in West Seneca Court on Wednesday, and released on his own recognizance, as his charges were not bail eligible.
