JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Two people were arrested in Jamestown on Tuesday after a standoff with police on Victoria Avenue.

The arrests stem from a shooting incident that happened back on Aug. 17 at 84 Victoria Ave., which left one man injured. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers say that during the shooting incident on Aug. 17, a warrant was used to search the residence and a vehicle associated with the suspects, Jamestown Police said. Investigators found over 111 grams of methamphetamine, 23 grams of powder cocaine, 9 grams of crack cocaine, 66 grams of fentanyl, and a 9mm pistol.

No arrests were made as Kylah Seiberg, 29, and Jensen Vazquez, 39, both of Jamestown, fled the scene, police said.

Roughly two weeks later, Jamestown Police were called back to the residence for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that Seiberg and Vazquez had returned to the residence.

Seiberg was quickly located and taken into custody, but Vazquez reportedly refused to leave the apartment.

The Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team was then called to the scene, as Vazquez had a warrant for his arrest out of the U.S. District Court of Western New York for violating his federal probation.

"After several hours and the deployment of chemical munitions in an attempt to get Vazquez to surrender peacefully, he continued to refuse to exit," Jamestown Police said in a statement.

The SWAT Team then used another search warrant to locate Vazquez, where he was later found hiding in insulation and floorboards of the attic and taken into custody.

Investigators found more than 60 grams of fentanyl during the search of the residence Tuesday near the area in which Vazquez was taken into custody.

Vazquez is being held on charges of five counts of Criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Seiberg is also being held on charges of Criminal Possession of a controlled substance, four counts of Criminal possession of a controlled substance, Criminally using drug paraphernalia, and Criminal possession of a weapon.

Jamestown Police provided an update on Thursday stating that Seiberg is facing additional charges stemming from an incident on Wednesday.

While receiving medical care in the custody of Jamestown Police, Seiberg allegedly "secreted 7.0 grams of Fentanyl on her person" after bringing it into the city jail.

She has also been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

Both Seiberg and Vazquez were arraigned and remanded on Thursday to the Chautauqua County Jail. A felony hearing is scheduled for a later date.
