WYOMING, N.Y. — The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and NYS Park Police had investigated a dead body that was found in the water at Letchworth State Park in Wyoming County on Thursday, May 16.
As of Tuesday, May 21 officials alongside the Monroe County Medical Examiners Office have reported that the body was identified as a 21-year-old male. NYS Police are reporting that the incident is the manner of an apparent suicide.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
A 2 On Your Side viewer had contacted us at the time of the discovery to report that students on a field trip had saw the body in the water.
