ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — On Monday night Town of Evans Police responded to reports of a hit and run involving a pedestrian on Derby Road.
According to police an 89-year-old had been standing at his mailbox at 7380 Derby Road when an unknown vehicle hit him. The vehicle then left the scene headed westbound towards Sturgeon Point.
The vehicle had left behind pieces of what police believe is their passenger side rear view mirror.
AMR transported the victim to ECMC where they are being treated for arm, leg, and back injuries.
Town of Evans Police are still investigating the incident, and anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call police at (716)-549-3600. Callers can remain anonymous.
