29-year-old man pleads guilty to gun trafficking conspiracy

A 29-year-old man with tri-citizenship in the US, Canada, and the Bahamas plead guilty on Wednesday to a gun trafficking conspiracy.

TORONTO, ON — A Toronto man pleaded guilty on Wednesday before a US District Judge to conspiracy to commit firearm trafficking which carries a penalty of 15-years in prison and a $250,000 fine. 

The 29-year-old, who is a citizen of both Canada, the United States, and the Bahamas, has been identified as Jeshua Lion Myers aka Dually. 

According to investigators, Myers told an undercover law enforcement officer in December 2023 that he could travel to Florida to acquire firearms from various stores and websites, and then arranged to bring those firearms to the Western New York area They say he was under the impression that the undercover officer could illegally smuggle those firearms into Canada as a co-conspirator. 

On December 20, 2023 Myers met with an undercover officer in Buffalo and gave him 19 firearms in exchange for $33,000. 

Several of the firearms Myers brought had been semi-automatic with the ability of accepting a high-capacity magazine. He also had provided assorted magazines, including high-capacity magazines, ammunition, and other weapons components.

On February 13, 2024, Myers provided 110 more firearms to the undercover law enforcement officer. 

Myer's sentencing is scheduled for February 21, 2025 before US District Judge Sinatra.
