BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has admitted to a stabbing last year that killed another man.
Timothy A. Austin, 37, pleaded guilty on Thursday in Erie County Court to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree.
Investigators say Buffalo Police were called to the area of Niagara Street and Hudson for a report of a stabbing on June 11, 2023. Officers found a victim stabbed in the chest.
The victim, identified as Tremaine Mayfield, 49, was taken to ECMC by ambulance. He later died of his injuries.
Austin faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in December. He remains held without bail.
