NIAGARA COUNTY -- Three public buildings in Niagara County had to close their doors and evacuate for the remainder of the day after receiving bomb threats over the phone.

On Thursday, the NIagara County Courthouse in Lockport, Niagara Falls City court, and Vantage Center, the headquarters of the county Industrial Development Agency, received the threats.

The call to the County Court came in around 12:30pm, and the IDA office around 12:50.

Bomb-sniffing dogs were soon on the scene, sweeping the premises and finding no evidence of explosives.

The county continues to work on the investigation with the help of police and the Office of Court Administration.
