Amherst Police have arrested a 13-year-old after the student was accused of making a threat against Sweet Home Middle School on Wednesday.
Police say they received word of a threat around 12:30 p.m. They began immediately investigating the incident with Sweet Home school administrators. That investigation ended with the arrest of a 13-year-old student.
The student is now charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, which is a class D felony.
The teen was taken into custody and will face charges in the Erie County Family Court.
