AMHERST, N.Y. — Amherst police say they've charged a 15-year-old Sweet Home High School student after a threat against the school last week.
He's charged with making a terroristic threat and the case is being handled in family court. Police haven't named him because of his age.
Superintendent Tony Day let parents know about the threat after it was made on social media Thursday night. The following day, he said that the student admitted to making the threat.
Police were at the school Friday as a precaution, but the district said it wasn't credible.
