Springville Griffith-Institute Central School District teacher is arrested

Frank E. Noeson, III, 45 of Holland, NY is charged with possession of child pornography.

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. — A teacher with the Springville Griffith-Institute Central School District has been accused of possessing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney's office in the Western District  has charged Frank E. Noeson, III, 45 of Holland, New York, and charged him with possession of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaint, a FBI Miami Field Office investigation found that Noeson, a fifth grade teacher in the Springville School District, had allegedly been communicating on Snapchat with a 15-year-old minor female in New Hampshire since at least January of 2023.

Investigators say during these conversations, Noeson would allegedly direct the victim to send pictures and videos of child pornography. The FBI investigation also found Noeson also allegedly sent multiple sexually explicit images of himself to the minor victim through Snapchat.

Following their investigation, the FBI Miami Field Office contacted the FBI Buffalo Field Office about their investigation.

The FBI Buffalo Field Office executed two search warrants at residences that are associated with Noeson and seized his cell phone.

The FBI conducted a forensic review of the phone and say they found multiple sexually explicit conversations between Noeson and the minor victim on Snapchat, which they say had been happening since last August,

Noeson appeared in Federal Court and is currently being held pending a detention hearing on May 2.

The Springville Griffith School District issued this statement on the district website on Friday, stating:

'The Springville Griffith-Institute Central School District is aware that one of its employees was arrested today. The employee in question has been placed on administrative leave from work, and the school district has been informed that the allegations against the employee do not involve a district student. The school district will cooperate with law enforcement regarding its investigation, and will have no further comment at this time regarding this personnel matter.'

The FBI is asking anyone with information pertaining to this case to contact them at: (716) 843-1611.
