Six arrested after fight in Dunkirk

Six arrests have been made after a large fight broke out in Dunkirk on Monday afternoon.

DUNKIRK, N.Y. — A large fight in Dunkirk on Monday afternoon resulted in six people being arrested.

Dunkirk Police had responded to reports of an alleged person with a handgun on Main Street. 

Upon arrival, a large fight broke out involving several people according to Dunkirk police officials in a press release. 

As officers attempted to break up the fight, more people then allegedly joined in and attempted to pull the officers away and fight them.

Fights continued until additional help from Fredonia Police, SUNY Fredonia University Police, Chautauqua County Sheriff's, and New York State Police arrived.

  • Cody Davis, 35, and Niesha Lockett, 33, were both charged with disorderly conduct
  • Larry Brooks, 36, was charged with disorderly conduct and menacing
  • Ladarran Watts, 32, and Jerred Simmons, 24, were both charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction
  • Darleen Brooks, 51, was arrested on a warrant

The investigation is ongoing and more details will be provided once they become available.
