BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 43-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a Buffalo Police patrol vehicle.
The incident happened just after 9:30pm Thursday in the 1400 block of Genesee Street. Police officers were responding to a domestic call when a passerby took the vehicle and fled.
Police say that they were able to apprehend the suspect just a few minutes later.
The male suspect is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal possession of stolen property and driving with a suspended license.
There was no visible damage to the patrol car.
Police did not say how the suspect was able to drive away with the vehicle.
