Pickup truck crashes into home in Niagara County

The incident happened just after 2am Saturday morning on Krueger Road in the Town of Wheatfield.

WHEATFIELD, N.Y. — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a pickup truck struck a house. 

The incident happened just after 2am Saturday morning on Krueger Road in the Town of Wheatfield.

Dispatchers received a call that a vehicle had struck a house.  When deputies arrived on scene, they found a pickup truck had crashed into a home. 

Both people in the vehicle were safely removed and treated for minor injuries. 

The homeowner, who was inside at the time of the crash, was not hurt. 

The driver of the pickup truck, John Osetkowski, 21, of North Tonawanda is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief and other vehicle and traffic violations. 

The home suffered significant structural damages and the building inspector ruled the home is inhabitable at this time.
