BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department made an arrest Monday for an assault on a school bus on October 2.
At approximately 3 p.m., on October 2, 2024 a school bus driver stopped her bus at Cumberland Avenue and Salem Street because a student had unbuckled their seat belt and stood up, making her feel it was unsafe to continue driving, according to the BPD.
While the bus was stopped, Officers say a parent, 38-year-old Jamieson Lococo, had been tracking the bus and got on board after a child opened the rear emergency door. The Lococo is accused of then removing several children from the bus, and placing them in the street with no supervision.
As the bus driver repeatedly told Lococo that he was not allowed on the bus, police say he then charged down the aisle, shoving the 72-year-old bus driver causing injuries to her neck, back, and shoulder.
Jamieson Lococo is now charged with one count of Assault in the Second Degree, one count of Reckless Endangerment of a Child, and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree.
