ALBION, N.Y. — The Orleans County Sheriff's Office is looking into a violent domestic that happened Monday in the Town of Barre.
Investigators say they were called to 5164 Oak Orchard Rd. just before 8:00 a.m. for a report of a domestic involving a knife.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man stabbed several times. The man, identified as John G. Dunn, 59, was treated on scene before transported to an area hospital to be treated. He is currently in stable condition.
Deputies took Dunn's girlfriend, Nathalie Ann Smith, 57, into custody after she was evaluated at a local hospital. She is charged with Assault with Intent to Cause Serious Physical Injury with a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a Weapon with Intent to Use.
She is currently being held in the Orleans County Jail on $100,000 bail. An order of protection has been issued on behalf of the victim.
