ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Three juveniles suspected of breaking into and stealing from vehicles were arrested overnight Orchard Park.

Two of the teens arrested on Thursday were 16 years old, and the other was 14 years old. The arrests stemmed from a 12:13 a.m. complaint on Hidden Oak Court of people breaking into cars, Orchard Park Police said in a statement.

When police arrived at the scene, suspects fled into wooded backyards. Some officers chased the teens, and others set up a perimeter to help search the area.

Not long after that, officers responded to Ellicott Road for another report of people breaking into vehicles. Two teens, ages 16 and 14, were found behind trees following a search of the area.

A third suspect was arrested around 1:15 a.m. Thursday on Breezewood Drive.

All three teens were issued appearance tickets to Erie County Family Court, then released to a legal guardian. An investigation is ongoing, and police said more arrests could be made.

Town of Hamburg Police and the Erie County Sheriff's Department assisted with the searches.
