BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police say a Buffalo man is facing a litany of charges, for a string of crimes in East Buffalo late Sunday morning.
It all started around 11 a.m. near Moselle and Walden. Officers say that's where 29-year-old Rashaan Mallory forced a man and woman into his vehicle, and took the woman's phone so she couldn't call for help.
Police say Mallory then drove to a football game taking place at Emmerson Park off of Koons Avenue. That's where police say he robbed two more victims, taking a second woman's phone, and tried stealing a man's chains.
According to officers, Mallory then fired several shots hitting the man he was robbing, twice. The victim is a 31-year-old man from Rochester. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
BPD says Mallory then tried fleeing with the first woman still inside. Officers arriving on the scene stopped him at Sycamore Street and Koons Avenue. Mallory is accused of then putting the car in reverse and attempting to drive away, ultimately crashing on Koons Avenue, where he was arrested.
A loaded Springfield Armory XD was recovered at the scene of the crash.
