NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — North Tonawanda Police say its officers had to evacuate the Tops on Meadow Drive after a threat was made against the store.
According to a Facebook post, a man called Niagara County dispatch around 7 p.m. Thursday Night, threatening to shoot people at the grocery store.
The man used a device to disguise his voice, and the call could not be traced right away.
Police say officers cleared the building and no credible threat was found.
Officers brought customers and employees to their cars once the store was cleared.
At this hour, the investigation is ongoing.
