Investigators say Hicks was driving a pick-up truck on Vulcan Street in the Town of Tonawanda in February when he struck a 56-year-old man in a motorized wheelchair and then left the scene.

The victim spent several weeks in the hospital recovering.

Hicks is currently being held on $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond. Hicks could face up to four years in prison when he is sentenced in October.
