Niagara Falls man pleads guilty for hit and run near Buffalo-Niagara International Airport

A man from Niagara Falls was accused of hitting a pedestrian crossing Genesee Street while they were driving near the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The Erie County District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday that a Niagara Falls man has pleaded guilty to Leaving the Scene of Incident Resulting in Serious Injury.

Travis Rosario, 51, of Niagara Falls was accused of hitting a pedestrian crossing Genesee Street while he was traveling down Luiz Kahl Way near the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport.

After hitting the person crossing the road, Rosario drove off without notifying police. The victim was taken by ambulance to ECMC with serious physical injuries, including a head injury and numerous fractured bones according to the DA.

He now faces a maximum of 4 years in prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, December 19.
