NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Niagara Falls Police have arrested a Niagara Falls man in connection with a shooting that happened Friday night.
Authorities say the victim and another man got into an altercation but then agreed to move it to the corner of 23rd and Tennessee Avenue to fight.
When the victim arrived at the corner, the male he was going to fight was standing there with another man.
This is when police say, Richard Rogers Jr., 19, shot the victim twice. Once in his back and once in the groin.
Rogers and the other male fled the scene and the victim went to the nearby business to call authorities.
The victim is recovering at ECMC after surgery was performed Friday, he is in stable condition.
