LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A Niagara County corrections officer faces a harassment charge, the sheriff's office reported Thursday.
Deonte Paige, 28, of Niagara Falls was arrested Thursday afternoon in the Town of Lockport following an investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.
"The complaint stemmed from an allegation made by an incarcerated individual within the facility," the sheriff's office said in a statement, announcing the arrest.
Paige was released. He received a ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Lockport Court on August 15.
"Paige has been suspended pending a departmental investigation and hearing," the sheriff's office said. "Due to the ongoing investigation and pending departmental charges, no further information will be released at this time."
