Niagara Falls Police investigate fatal domestic incident Wednesday morning

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara Falls Police Department is investigating a domestic incident that happened on Wednesday morning leaving one person dead.

Police reported that they were called to the scene at 2:45 a.m. on 22nd Street where a possible suspect had been seen outside of where the incident occurred.

That person was detained while officers went inside the home and found a woman unresponsive on the floor. First aid was immediately administered but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Niagara Falls Police have identified the suspect as 63-year-old Edward Parmer of Niagara Falls. Parmer was taken to the police station and charged with second-degree murder. 

Parmer will be arraigned later today. 

The victim's name is not being released at this time. The incident is still under investigation and detectives are asking that anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at (716)-286-4553 or the General Information Number at (716)-286-4711.
