BUFFALO, N.Y. — A North Tonawanda man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Kingsley Brown, 22, was accused of purchasing approximately 570 stolen bank cards and then using a card-making device to load the stolen banking card information onto blank plastic bank cards with magnetic strips, allowing purchases to be made using the victims’ funds from the victims’ bank accounts.

According to U.S. Attorney Trini Ross, he and co-defendant Cross Malik Williams — who was previously convicted and awaiting sentencing — used or allowed others to use the stolen bank card information to purchase gas.

As part of the plea agreement, Brown agreed to the responsibility of $192,673 in total loss.

Sentencing for Brown is scheduled for Dec. 11, 2024.
