Buffalo man dies from injuries sustained in Jamestown shooting

A 25-year-old from Buffalo has died after he sustained injuries from a shooting on August 16.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A 25-year-old man from Buffalo died after being shot on August 16. 

Police say that Corey M. Johnson was found in a parking lot on North Main Street after a report of a shooting. The shooting happened near the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum.

Johnson was taken to UPMC Chautauqua and later transferred to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania for life-threatening injuries. 

He passed away two days later due to the injuries. 

Jamestown Police believe Johnson was targeted, and that the suspect knew him.
