NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls man is facing charges after an incident where one Applebee's employee stabbed another earlier this week.
Sam M. Keesler, 34, of Niagara Falls was charged Wednesday with one felony count of assault. He was arraigned and is now being held at Niagara County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail.
The stabbing happened just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers say the incident between the two men started in the kitchen before spilling outside the restaurant. When police arrived they put themselves in the middle and ordered the suspect to drop the knife.
Town of Niagara police say when the suspect didn't listen, Officers and Niagara County Deputies used stun guns causing him to drop the knife and he was taken into custody.
The victim was flown to ECMC for several stab wounds to his upper torso. Police say he is expected to be ok.
Keesler was also brought to ECMC for self-inflicted wounds to his hands.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office Criminal Division is taking the lead in the investigation.
