LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A Lockport man was sentenced on Monday afternoon before an Erie County Court Judge for recklessly causing the death of a bicyclist.
Kenneth James, 43, plead guilty to one count of manslaughter in the second degree back in March. He has been sentenced to an indeterminate sentence of 2 to 6 years in prison.
Investigators say that James had recklessly caused the death of 38-year-old Joseph Dash.
Dash the victim, had been riding his bike on Broadway near Krettner Street in the City of Buffalo on August 14, 2023 when James fired an airsoft gun at his chest. Dash died as a result of the pellet hitting him in the chest according to an autopsy.
